This coffee is part of SUCAFINA Lalisaa project, Lalisaa is a term used to describe something that is flourishing and growing. Historically a majority of Ethiopia's coffee producers have not been able to enjoy a direct relationship with the buyer of their coffee. This lack of transparency and equitable trade structure left most farmers with no incentive or knowhow to develop their crop, despite having the world's most diverse and distinct coffee. SUCAFINA has partnered with several stations and farmers to create a truly transparent and sustainable supply chain.

The Aladdo Washing Station is tucked behind the hills of Anfrara, a small town outside of Adola. Despite it being the smallest station we have partnered with, it has produced some great coffee. Its owner, Birhanu Mulatu, has been working in the sector for the last 12 years. Always quick with a joke, he makes our visits entertaining but also has a passion for coffee, wanting to produce only the best.

Our selection from this site is sourced from eight farmer groups, representing 278
households and 383 hectares of coffee land. This coffee cups clean, and bright with good body. Spicy sweet flavours and a kick of lemon like acidity take it to another level.
