Named after the cute herbivore Andean Tapir (Mountain Danta), which is found wandering the Andes mountains in the area. This is a collection of several high-quality farms in the area blended to produce this spectacular lot. Coffees are brought in parchment to purchasing stations and are bought on the spot and money is deposited directly into the banks of the producers. These producers are required to be a part of the PECA (Grower Education Program translated from Spanish) program run by Caravela. This program helps producers during all stages of growing and harvest, focusing on maintaining quality and ensuring environmental sustainability. We haven’t come across such a tasty coffee from Peru in a while and are really honored to be able to share this with you this month. When you drink this coffee imagine all the cute Andean Tapirs (Google it!) frolicking around the mountains! Enjoy.
