This coffee was developed through the hard work of the Asociación de Mujeres Productoras Agropecuarias del Cauca (AMACA), a group of 140 passionate and strong-willed women producers who live in El Tambo, Cauca. The average size of each farm in the AMACA is 1-3 hectares (around just 5,000 trees).

To support the producers, a premium is paid on top of the coffee value. The money goes towards resources the whole community can use, such as milling equipment, a storage warehouse to manage milled coffee, and assistance with quality assessment processes such as grading and cupping. Women from the AMACA rely solely on coffee farming as a means of sustaining their family and community. This makes the organisation all the more valuable, as it allows these producers to share knowledge and get the support they need.

We hope you enjoy this coffee, knowing that you are backing an organisation that benefits an entire community.
