We wholeheartedly love coffees from the Uraga region in Ethiopia, and this coffee is no exception. The Tabe Burka washing station is owned by Tadesse Edema: a coffee pioneer and community leader who is heavily involved in building schools and public roads in the area. Tadesse owns several washing stations where ripe coffee cherries are turned into green beans, along with another coffee farm in Shakiso. Only recently have we been able to fully trace this coffee to his farm, as in the past, all coffee was processed through the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange and only labeled by region. Today, we can enjoy this bean knowing exactly where it comes from and how much work has been poured into producing it. We hope you enjoy its delicate fruity notes and balanced clean acidity - either as an espresso or a long black.
