Not your “regular” coffee from Kenya, this lot from Mchana Estate is processed as “natural”. This is where the coffee is dried as whole cherry once harvested from the tree. For years the only acceptable way to process coffee in Kenya was using the “washed” process, this requires depulping from the coffee cherry and a fermentation stage to wash off any additional mucilage creating the clean Kenyan coffees that we all know and love. The result is a full bodied coffee with lots of balanced fruit and acidity.
