As one of the oldest coffee producers in Kenya, the Mutitu factory has over 60 years of coffee processing experience under their belts. They put this wealth of knowledge to good use, helping around 750 smallholders produce these excellent coffees.

Once the ripest cherries are sorted, they are pulped and placed in fermentation tanks with little to no water. The coffee is removed between 12 and 24 hours of fermentation, washed with clean water then placed on raised beds to dry until they reach an ideal moisture content ready for export.

It is the detailed processes and meticulous work that results in a thoroughly enjoyable cup of coffee showcasing the hard work dedicated by all involved.
